Due to critical situation early this year, press released all over the world and make us nervous.

Also please advise the situation in Pokhara.

Thank you for your time posting the answer (hope it will be positive).

It is always best to watch your back where ever you may go.

Nepal is a little unsafe but I don't think anyone would tell you NOT to go.

Just be careful in all situations.

I recommend that you contact the Nepalese Embassy for information regarding their current situation.

The first person answering the post probably traveled Nepal at least two years back, when the Maoists were still insurgents. Now, they are going to lead the government and the problems that she described, esp the security situation, do not exist. As for managing the trips personally, there are some good agents and some bad. You need to distinguish between them. It is always good to oversee the work that others are doing for you, if you choose to let people work for you. \ If you could say when you are planning to go, for how long and what you intent to do, then you might receive better answers.

Check with the State Department. They have a website about this stuff. Sorry don't remember what it is. Do a search for it.
